🌱 Jack and the Beanstalk
Once upon a time, there was a poor boy named Jack. He lived with his mother in a small house. They were very poor, and their only valuable possession was a cow.
One day, Jack’s mother told him to take the cow to the market and sell it so they could buy food. On the way, Jack met a strange old man. The man offered Jack five magic beans in exchange for the cow. The man said the beans were very special.
Jack believed him and traded the cow for the beans.
When Jack returned home and showed his mother the beans, she became very angry. She thought Jack had been foolish. In her anger, she threw the beans out of the window.
The next morning, Jack woke up and saw something amazing. A giant beanstalk had grown outside their house! It was so tall that it reached into the clouds.
Curious and brave, Jack decided to climb the beanstalk. He climbed higher and higher until he reached a land above the clouds. There, he found a huge castle.
Inside the castle lived a giant and his wife. The giant was very big and scary. Jack was frightened but also curious.
When the giant came home, he shouted:
“Fee-fi-fo-fum!
I smell the blood of an Englishman!”
Jack quickly hid. The giant sat down and counted his gold coins. After eating his dinner, the giant fell asleep.
Jack quietly took a bag of gold coins and climbed down the beanstalk. He and his mother were happy and had enough money for a while.
But Jack wanted more adventure.
He climbed the beanstalk again. This time, he found a magical hen that laid golden eggs. When the giant fell asleep, Jack took the hen and ran back home.
Still, Jack went back one more time. He discovered a magical harp that could sing by itself. When Jack picked it up, the harp cried out, waking the giant!
The giant chased Jack down the beanstalk. Jack climbed down as fast as he could. When he reached the ground, he grabbed an axe and chopped the beanstalk.
The beanstalk fell, and the giant crashed to the ground.
From then on, Jack and his mother lived happily. They were no longer poor, and Jack never forgot his magical adventure.
